"We are only getting dumber 'cause we don't exist 'till
summer'.
Everybody is talking about how life will be better in
summer, when they will be loved or even that everything
was better when they were young. We are getting more
and more insensitive to what happens around us and
keep waiting for better times to come, instead of taking
responsibility for the things we want to change. This
makes us stay in bad relationships/situations for too long,
out of fear for the unknown. This feeling lingers until we
are forced to come down from this mountain we climbed
and start all over again.
lyrics
SUNDOWN
I want to feel the warmth again
Get the rays upon my skin
to kiss the cold off of my body
I want to feel a minutes’ worth
Give me the heat that I deserve
to kiss the cold off of my body
We are only getting dumber
‘cause we don’t exist ‘till summer
I keep kicking my heart, I tear it apart
I ran up a mountain and I got lost
I see your face, it’s slipping away
I’m still up that mountain
I’m waiting it out I’m waiting it out untill sundown
And when I fall on my way down
I want to know you’re still around
to kiss the dirt of off my body
To utter the words they’re on my tongue
I kept it turning for to long
Kissing away al your sorrows
We are only getting dumber
‘cause we don’t exist ‘till summer
I keep kicking my heart, I tear it apart
I ran up a mountain and I got lost
I see your face, it’s slipping away
I’m still up that mountain
I’m waiting it out I’m waiting it out untill sundown
We are only getting dumber
Make us a little younger
Our love it lives in hunger
‘Cause we don’t exist ‘till summer
